IN THE WIND P24 OMA Nationals Ceases T he OMA National Series has been discon- tinued, according to promoter Bill Gusse. "There will be no OMA's," he said on the OMA website. "After much discussion we have decided that discontinuing the OMA series was for the best for most everyone involved. "We would like to thank everyone who was a part of our journey with the series. There is no way we could thank you all personally for sup- porting the series as much as you did! We appreci- ate you all very much for contributing to the memo- ries that we will carry on forever. The races will go on like we have been holding them, just without OMA points. All the races will pay MXC points only. The OMA website will be shut down as well. "What this move does is it allows us all to con- centrate on making the MXC Series bigger and bet- ter, it frees up some purse money to be put into the MXC Pro class and hopefully eases a lot of confu- sion in the past with scheduling, entry fee changes and points." CN The OMA Series will not return in 2022 but race events will continue as before as the MXC (Midwest Cross- Country) Series. Triumph, Breitling Team Up For A New Speed Twin T he Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition has broken cover, and as the name suggests it's a collaboration between Triumph and Swiss watch giant Breitling. Based on the latest Speed Twin, the Breitling version gets a bit more power, fully adjustable suspension with Marzoc- chi forks and Ohlins shocks and new brakes (Brembo M50's), and it goes with Breitling introducing a new watch called the "Top Time Triumph." The Speed Twin gets a one-off "Breitling Edition" paintjob of two-tone blue tank with the base color matching the original 1951 Triumph Thunderbird made famous by Marlon Brando in The Wild One. Other design cues are the faces of the rev and speed clocks, which have been mod- eled on the Breitling. There's also a ribbed black leather seat with grey stitching, and spe- cial Breitling B logos on the engine casings. The Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition will be limited to 270 editions, will be available in the U.S. and Canada from June 2022 and will retail for $18,300 USD ($21,200 CAD). CN
