that I've never been able to do and that
was a first for me. It feels good."
He finished up by saying, "All things
considered; I think that was one of my best
main events ever."
After a crash held him back in Arizona,
Anderson's A3 win puts him 12 points
back from Tomac.
Tomac was right there for the win early
in the main. The Yamaha rider was fresh
off back-to-back wins and the only repeat
winner of the season until Anaheim 3. He
looked fast all day, letting his Yamaha bark
around the tricky layout. He started up
front with Anderson and kept him honest
for the opening parts of the main. Tomac
made one attempt at the lead but cased
the end of the rhythm section and allowed
Anderson to get back around. The Yamaha
rider stayed close and even clocked the
fastest lap of the race. Unfortunately, his
night unraveled in the whoop section.
MYOWNRACE
is nothing to shake your head at, especially
in this field, Ferrandis was clearly frus-
trated with the result. "It was another bad
night for me. I had a big crash in my heat
race and had to go through the LCQ. I was

Rockstar Husqvarna rider took a spill in the
whoop sec on and re red from the race.
"It was a short night, but I felt good, and
I'm thankful to be leaving from the crash
healthy," Swoll said. "I felt good—like I got
back up to how I was feeling before my
crash at A1. I made some good passes at
the beginning and felt like I was on that
forward charge and the whoops bit me
and bit me quick. It's all good."
27 MALCOLM STEWART
4TH 450SX
Malcolm Stewart had another strong out-
ing finishing fourth, and he's also fourth in
the championship. "I felt like the en re day
was good," he said. "I already knew the
track was going to be really dry and slick
because we already did two races, and
this was the final round [at Anaheim]. I felt
