Escalante and Lewis Head New-Look
Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzuki Squad
F
ormer MotoAmerica Supers-
port Champion Richie Es-
calante and former Stock 1000
and Superbike Cup Champion
Jake Lewis will head a new-look
M4 Ecstar Suzuki Superbike team
sponsored by Vision Wheel.
Escalante's appointment to the
Superbike ranks comes after fin-
ishing second to Sean Dylan Kelly
on the M4 Ecstar Suzuki in the
2021 MotoAmerica Supersport
Championship, with the Mexican
determined to take a first Super-
bike title for his home country.
"My goal is to contend for the
Superbike Championship, and I
am ready to start working towards
this goal," Escalante said. "I am
eager to apply my skills to the
Superbike class. I am also excited
to see how my aggressive style
works on the Suzuki. I like to push
hard and slide under braking and
the Suzuki GSX-R will be a great
bike for my riding style."
Former Yoshimura Suzuki rider
Lewis' arrival in the M4 squad
marks a return to factory-level
Superbike competition after a
stellar year in 2021 when he took
the Stock 1000 and Superbike
Cup titles on the Altus Motors-
ports Suzuki GSX-R1000.
"I'm so excited to be back with
Team Hammer, this year on a
Superbike. I couldn't be more
pleased," said Lewis.
In the Supersport category,
South African Sam Lochoff has
been retained for 2022 and will
race alongside new teammate,
Colorado's Liam Grant. Wyatt
Farris will once again pilot the
team's Stock 1000 entry.
