pretty devastated after the 11th."
The clutch win in race three
allowed Sexton to salvage an
overall podium and maintain his
second place in points.
Anderson rode like a man
possessed, and if it wasn't for a
mishap in race two, the Kawa-
saki rider would've locked in an
overall podium. Anderson's 1-12-
2 scores bumped him to fourth
at the end of the night. That
second-race 12th came about
when he went off the track and
wound up high-centered on a
Tuff Block. After fighting with
the track barrier, he re-entered
the race and scraped together
a 12th.
Anderson now sits third in
points, 15 behind leader Tomac.
in race one, once from tucking
the front end in the flat turn and

"If you watched my first race,
you'd think I was a beginner,"
said Sexton.
The Honda rider rebounded,
however, in mains two and three.
A convincing performance in the
final race of the night saw Sexton
holeshot and lead all 13 laps en
route to victory.
"Third race I finally pulled a
holeshot and just tried to sprint
away," Sexton said. "I was actu-
ally having fun again in the third
race. It was nice being up front
and being able to control it, but
that first race was not pretty. I was
GREAT START,
BAD ENDING
Dylan Ferrandis had a great start
to the day by being the top quali-
fier in the 450SX class but would
DNF the final main after crashing
hard early in the race. Ferrandis
appeared to come up short over
a jump while dicing with Dean
Wilson. So-so starts in the first
two races netted the Monster
Energy Star Racing Yamaha 12th
overall with a 7-5-22. After getting
launched over the handlebars,
Ferrandis pulled into the mechan-
ic's area with a damaged bike and
would not re-enter the race.
UNLUCKY BUT LUCKY
BarX Suzuki rider Carson Mum-
ford had an early exit after crash-
ing hard in the first 250SX West
moto. Mumford came up short
over a jump and was slammed
to the ground, calling it a night.
Mumford later said that he was
lucky to walk away from that one.
THREE 4 THREE
The third 250SX Futures race
took place in Arizona and for the
third time Kawasaki Team Green's
Ryder DiFrancesco ran away with
the win. In the seven-lap race, the
Bakersfield, California, resident
DiFrancesco finished a full 14
seconds ahead of his nearest
competitor, Honda rider Luke
Kalaitzian of Sun Valley, California.
NSA Rock River Yamaha's Gavin
Towers of Venetia, Pennsylvania,
finished a close third ahead of
Brad West (Yamaha) and Hunter
Cross (Yamaha).
