"I was looking at the pit board, looking at lap times, and just riding like a practice moto. It was enjoyable and it's addicting so I want to do it again." With this win Chase jumps to second in the point standings, just one back from the new red- plate holder, Eli Tomac. Tomac's results continue to improve on his new Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha YZ450F ride. Chase Sexton rode a near picture- perfect main event to snatch his career-first win. The Honda rider was on mark all day. He quietly qualified third early in the day, finished fourth in his heat and got off to a stellar start in the main event. He was credited with the holeshot but was quickly overtaken by Marvin Musquin. After just three laps, however, Sexton made his move back around Musquin, who, from that point on, steadily slipped back in the field.
