Peters Sweeps Tulsa Arenacross R ounds four and five of the Kicker AMA Arenacross Championship reached its half- way point at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, January 21-22, with defending champion Kyle Peters winning everything in sight. Peters, on the Phoenix Racing Honda, won all four main events over the two days. Peters' first win came Friday night in the 250cc Pro main. He passed fast starter Jake Bork after the first lap and never looked back, eventually taking the checkered flag nearly five seconds ahead of fellow Honda rider Heath Harrison. Harrison started off the race in seventh but slowly worked his way forward, passing Kyle Bitterman for second on the fourth lap. Harrison would hold the position the rest of the way, pretty much matching Peters lap times to the finish. Kawasaki rider Josh Cart- wright, who started the race in fifth, took third approximately four seconds behind Harrison. Honda rider Lance Kobusch and KTM pilot Henry Miller rounded out the top five. Bitterman ended up sixth and early leader Bork dropped out after four laps. Peters dominated the 450 Pro main with a wire-to-wire win, taking the checkers seven-plus seconds ahead of Harrison. At times, Harrison had his hands full with both Kobusch and Cartwright but eventually took the checkers three seconds ahead of Cartwright and another two seconds ahead of Kobusch. Miller rounded out the top five another four seconds behind Kobusch. Bitterman ended up a distant sixth after going down on the first lap.
