Girroir Tops U.S. Sprint Enduro Series Opener H aving finished off the 2021 season with a flurry, Johnny Girroir kicked off 2022 with a bang. The Coastal Racing GasGas rider won all six rounds of last year's U.S. Sprint Enduro Series in the Pro 2 class. This past weekend he started off this year with a dominating win in the Pro division. Girroir's latest win came at round one of the U.S. Sprint Enduro series held at Moree's Paradise Raceway in Sellers, South Carolina. It was Girroir's maiden race in the Pro division. With snow and freezing temperatures dominating the weather, Girroir ruled Sunday's action, winning all six tests, which backed up his strong per- formance on Saturday, where he won four of six tests. "I had a little crash in the last enduro test on Sunday, but all in all I had a pretty mistake-free weekend," said Girroir. "I felt more comfortable on the cross test; the enduro test got pretty gnarly out there; just mud, ruts and roots. That really keeps you on your toes, but I felt good in both tests." FMF/KTM's Josh Toth did his best to keep Girroir in check, but settled for second overall, in the end. Toth finished with one test win and a series of consis- tent second- and third-place test finishes. "I haven't raced in a while, and this was a last-minute decision," said Toth.
