Roczen hit the deck and scrambled back to his bike. This mishap dropped him back to seventh on the night. Roczen is seventh in points, seven back from the leader. Anderson also had a "what-if" kind of night. Fresh off a win at Oakland, the rejuvenated Kawa- saki rider qualified fastest and was on a mission in the 450 main event. He started inside the top 10 and worked his way up as far as second place before his bike began to smoke with, report- edly, a radiator issue. Anderson looked frustrated as he rolled Mosiman went on to capture his long-awaited first win. TLD GasGas rider showed flash- es of brilliance during the past two seasons but costly mistakes held him back every time. On Saturday night he rode a mistake- free race and led all 20 laps of the 250SX West main event. "I've been riding a lot this year with Justin Barcia," Mosiman said when asked about riding under pressure. "Honestly, it felt like an- other day at the test track with him [Hunter Lawrence] right on me." The win moves Mosiman a little closer to the overall points lead. Mosiman currently sits third in the 250SX West standings, 11 down from points leader Craig. Lawrence came home second for the second week in a row.
