Davies Named As Aruba.it
Riding Coach
C
haz Davies will continue his
career inside the WorldSBK
paddock after inking a deal to
become the factory Aruba.it
Ducati team's riding coach for
2022.
The Welshman called time on
his riding career at the end of
the 2021 season, having taken
32 race wins and three vice-
championships to Jonathan
Rea, and will look after the riding
exploits of Superbike racers
Alvaro Bautista and Michael
Ruben Rinaldi and Supersport
contender, Nicolo Bulega.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to
remain part of the racing world
and especially with the Aruba.
it – Ducati family, with whom I
enjoyed the best years of my
racing career," said Davies.
"It will be an interesting per-
spective to see the action from
'the other side of the fence!' I
believe that with my seven years
of experience as an official
Ducati rider and knowledge of
both the Ducati V2 and V4 bikes,
I am well equipped to contrib-
ute to the future success of the
team."
