Girroir Tops U.S. Sprint Enduro
Series Opener
H
aving finished off the 2021
season with a flurry, Johnny
Girroir kicked off 2022 with
a bang. The Coastal Racing
GasGas rider won all six rounds
of last year's U.S. Sprint Enduro
Series in the Pro 2 class. This
past weekend he started off this
year with a dominating win in the
Pro division.
Girroir's latest win came at
round one of the U.S. Sprint
Enduro series held at Moree's
Paradise Raceway in Sellers,
South Carolina. It was Girroir's
maiden race in the Pro division.

enduro test on Sunday, but all

weekend," said Girroir. "I felt
more comfortable on the cross
test; the enduro test got pretty

and roots. That really keeps you
on your toes, but I felt good in
both tests."
FMF/KTM's Josh Toth did his
best to keep Girroir in check,
but settled for second overall, in
the end. Toth finished with one
test win and a series of consis-
tent second- and third-place test
finishes.
"I haven't raced in a while, and
this was a last-minute decision,"
said Toth. "Just trying to stay
sharp on the bike. I did have
expectations for myself, but no
