A photo of Eddie Lawson was featured on the cover of Cycle News
40 years ago to accompany our interview with Superbike Champion...
Donnie Hansen, Brad Lackey and Johnny O'Mara were the big
winners at the CMC Golden State Series at Lake Huron, California... We
showed our readers the latest production motorcycles from Kawasaki,
which including the KZ1000R and KZ1000S Superbikes.
Cycle News' Man of the Year was pictured on the cover 50 years ago. The
honor went to the AMA's Executive Director Russ March, who came on
board in 1970 and made things happen—all good things—for motorcyclists...
We showed our readers Kawasaki's latest open-class motocross prototype
that was ridden by Bruce Baron at a local motocross race at Saddleback
Park... A "smog-free" smoke bomb was praised at the OCMC Hare
