"My jump wasn't too bad, but I wasn't very aggressive in the first corner and Dane [Westby] passed me on the corner going onto the back straight and I got shuffled back to fifth or sixth or something like that. And then I slowly started making my Cameron Beaubier (6) was again the dominant rider in the Daytona SportBike class. The championship points leader battled with Jake Gagne (32) on Saturday before taking the victory. way through and me and Jake [Gagne] had a good battle until the end when I pushed it on the last couple of laps." Beaubier's riding has been described as nearly flawless. He said he was far from that on Saturday. "I made a few mistakes today. I pushed the front a couple of times and almost high-sided coming out of [turn] one. Everyone funneled into turn one and I was kind of on the inside and didn't have a good line." Yamaha won every race it entered at Mid-Ohio - Superbike, Daytona SportBike and Supersport. That's the first time a single manufacturer won every race it entered in the 31year history of AMA Pro road racing at Mid-Ohio. Supersport has been the most competitive class in the road race series this year. Hayden Gillim was the fifth winner in eight races. Stefano Mesa, Tomas Puerta, Corey Alexander, Joe Roberts and Gillim are the riders who have won in the series so far this year. Puerta, Alexander and Roberts have each won two rounds. Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series rider Steve Rapp saw the smoke from the recent crash-landing of an Asiana Airlines flight in San Francisco. Rapp was piloting a charter into a nearby airport just after the San Francisco incident happened.
