NOYES TO SUB IN RUSSIA
A
merican road racer Kenny
Noyes will get a shot at
the World Supersport Series
this coming weekend in Russia when he takes over for the
injured Sheridan Morais on the
PTR Honda CBR600RR.
The Spanish-based Noyes,
who is currently racing in the
Spanish CEV Championship, is
looking forward to racing for the
team and in the Russian round.
"I am just going to do my best
and get used to the bike and
track ASAP," Noyes said in a
team release. "The bike, track
and team are all new to me. I
rode at Silverstone last year in
World Supersport on a different
bike and got some time on the
Pirelli tires that were good. We
will give it our best effort and see
where we are after the practice
and qualifying sessions; a top-10
finish for sure would be a goal."
Morais is recovering from
the shoulder injury he suffered
back in April at Assen and his
doctors have suggested a twomonth lay-off as the minimum
time to recover. With missing
the Russian round, Morais will
have a four-week break between races.
American Kenny Noyes will race a
World Supersport bike this weekend
in Russia.
CAIROLI, HERLINGS FAST IN FINLAND

F
or the eighth time this season,
the Red Bull KTM duo of Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings
swept a round of the 2013 FIM
World Motocross Championship
Series, this time at the Finnish
Grand Prix in Hyvinkaa, Finland,
on July 14.
For Cairoli, it was the Italian's
62nd career GP win after winning both MX1 motos. He came
from fourth in the first moto,
passing Rockstar Suzuki's Clement Desalle for the lead well into
the race and taking the win six
seconds ahead of the Belgian.
Cairoli's teammate, Ken de Dycker finished third ahead of Kawasaki's Jeremy van Horebeek and
Suzuki's Kevin Strijbos.
Cairoli had it even easier in
the second moto where he blasted into the early lead and never
Jeffrey Herlings (84) dominated the
MX2 class at the Finnish Motocross
Grand Prix.
