"But then I felt kind of better on
the second lap. On the third lap,
I had to stop a little bit on the [big]
uphill because I was really tired
[and] out of breath.
"But it was cool; I enjoyed it - it
was something different. I like it.
You've just got to train more for
this stuff."
Purvines Racing Beta teammates Nick Burson and Justin
Morrow ended up battling for
fourth with Morrow getting the
pass late in the race - his first National since surgery a few months
ago. (All of the Purvines Racing
crew used two-strokes at this
one.)
Irving Powers, one of the local favorites, ran up in the lead
group early on aboard his Agent
Orange Racing KTM 450 XC-F,
eventually settling for sixth overall and first in Open A followed by
250cc A winner Levii Hutchings,
Vet A winner Dan Capparelli, Axel
Pearson and Justin Morgan. CN
