he Grays Harbor Half Mile that was scheduled
to take place on Saturday night, July 20 at
Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington, has
been cancelled, according to AMA Pro Racing.
"This is a very unfortunate turn of events," said
Dan Johnsen, director of AMA Pro Flat Track.
"We're sorry that we won't be able to deliver the exceptional racing that AMA Pro Flat Track is known
for to the fans that planned to attend the event, but
we invite them all to come see the action when we
return to the great state of Washington next month
for the Castle Rock TT."
Thus far only four rounds of the series have been
held and now there are only eight races remaining –
with one of those being a "to be announced" event
on October 5. If that one goes away, only seven races will remain making the battle for the AMA Grand
National Championship an 11-round series.
