IN THE WIND P24 Kopp To Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team T he Red Bull KTM Fac- tory Racing team has signed 17-year-old up-and- comer Kody Kopp to its rider lineup for the 2022 American Flat Track Cham- pionship in the Singles class. Kopp will compete alongside teammate Max Whale and will pilot the KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition. Kopp, a Washington na- tive, earned Rookie of the Year in his 2021 AFT Singles debut season, finishing seventh overall in the cham- pionship. He finished on the podium three times and had six top-10 finishes. "I'm very thankful for this amazing opportunity to join Red Bull KTM Factory Rac- ing," said Kopp. "I raced KTMs a lot as an amateur, so I am super excited to be returning back to my roots. Bronson Bauman To Vance & Hines H-D T he Latus Motors Racing has signed Bronson Bauman to ride the Vance & Hines Harley- Davidson XG-750R SuperTwin for the 2022 Progressive American Flat Track season. Team Owner George Latus said, "We're excited to have Bronson as part of our team for the upcoming season. He and his team were pitted next to us pretty much all last season, and we've seldom seen a harder working, more dedicated rider. Plainly put, he impressed all of us with his riding skill, tenacity, tech- nical savvy and just plain hard work. We've done testing with him, and he's a good fit for the team, and we enjoy working with him as we continue de- velopment of the bike. 2022 is going to be an exciting season!" Bauman said, "I'm so excited and honored to ride for the Latus Motors Racing Harley- Davidson team. I have already enjoyed the few times we've worked to- gether and feel like we mesh well as a group. I can't wait to see what this 2022 AFT season has in store for us." Latus Motors Racing was founded by George Latus, owner of the Latus Motors dealership located in Gladstone Oregon, just outside of Portland. CN Bronson Bauman will make the switch from Indian to Harley-Davidson in the AFT SuperTwins Championship for the 2022 season. Kody Kopp, the son of legendary racer Joe Kopp, has signed on with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team and will be following the AFT Singles Championship in 2022.
