Speedway bikes will take to the concrete floor of the Long Beach Convention Center for the King of the Concrete Competition on Friday night, o ce Indeed, who will it be? I'm going to sign two more rider~ next week for the Golden State Series and Anaheim, and we'll be picking the top rider of those three for our factory works bike ride for the season. Our number one rider, John Finkeldey, will ride the 250 and 500cc cla...s at the Florida Winter Series, and Mark Barr will ride the 1 25 and 250cc classes in Florida. Barr will be riding a works 125cc and Fin- keldey will be on a works 495cc. Finkeldey may ride the Nationals in '83, or he may go to Europe for the last five or six GPs, depending on his performance in Florida. e KTM's 1983 MX GP team in Europe will be Guiseppe Andreani in the 125cc class, Kees van der Ven on 2505, and jaak van Velthoven and Heinz Kinigadner in the 500cc class. Kinigadner will also ride in the Golden State Series. C\I The latest in the MX musical chairs - or bikes - department is that ·500cc World Champion Brad Lackey may be after a Kawasaki ride. Lackey has broken with Suzuki and has been rumored to be seeking rides with many different manufacturers. Gary Semics has also been mention~das having a shot at a works ride with Kawasaki for the 500cc GPs. ~ 00 0') P"-4 ... The Mwiy-organized group of MX and Supereross promoters will meet with the AMA in Oall.. on Monday, Nov. 29 according to Stadium Motorsports' head Mike Goodwin.
