Baker was second, and another first time pro, Mar k Barr, moved his KTM to third. Steve Benolkin, one of three Benolkin bro thers entered at the race, pushed his H onda to fourth. Mo to two saw Baker take the holesho t in to the rough straight tha t followed. Chris Swan k was running second over H eyrma n , but He yrman moved to second within a la p . When th e two la p board came out, Baker and H eyrm an ha d 26 seconds on Barr, who was foll owed by Ben olkin , whoalmostlostitperlormingaskysaaper jump .
