Larry Shaw put it all together to wi n the Scratch main event in Irwindale's wee kly speedway race, lea ding Bill Cody, Scott Autrey and Steve G resham at th e end of four laps. Ro n Taylor was the winner of the H a n dica p main event. In h is last race of the summer season in Europe, American Brya n Kenney (Mai) fin ish ed second overall in an interna tio nal motocross in France.
