FIRST LOOK I 2022 TRIUMPH TIGER 1200 P72 T he Triumph Tiger 1200 is getting a total overhaul for 2022 to bring it into line with class stalwarts BMW, KTM and Ducati. The machine represents a significant upgrade from the Hinckley boys and girls, with the Tiger range—consisting of three GT and two Rally modes—offering higher power, lower weight and a much- improved tech package. The motor is still Triumph's trademark T-plank three-cylinder configuration but capacity has been reduced from 1215cc to 1160cc. That hasn't stopped Triumph from offering a decent increase in pow- er and torque, with nine more ponies at 148 horsepower on tap and five pounds feet of extra torque at 95 lb-ft.
