KTM Remembers Rene Hofer K TM has paid tribute to its young MXGP star Rene Hofer who was tragically killed in an av- alanche while skiing with friends in Salzburg, Austria, December 4, 2021. The young Austrian, who had recently taken his first MX2 Grand Prix win at Teutschenthal in Germany was touted as a fa- vorite to win the 2022 MX2 World Championship. "Rene, a multiple-time junior champion and GP winner with a bright future in the Grand Prix ahead of him, will be remembered not only for his talent on the track, but also for his approachable, funny and friendly personality, together with his ever-present smile," read a KTM media re- lease. "Everyone in the KTM fam- ily will miss Rene a lot." Starting on December 14 and finishing on December 18, Behind The Stars & Stripes fol- lows Beaubier's and Roberts' 2021 campaigns that saw a few highlights including Beaubier's sterling ride at Austin and at the second Portimao race, while Roberts' deals with the trials and tribulations of joining the world champion Italtrans team and the expectations that come with the territory. It should be a good watch and something to get help you get through the long, hard winter of no road racing.
