In third place Federico Cari- casulo (VFT Racing Yamaha) made an instant impact with his first ride for another new team in 2021. Jules Cluzel (GMT94 Yamaha) was up and down the order but finally fourth, with one time leader Manuel Gonzalez (Yama- ha ParkinGo Team) fifth. Steven Odendaal (Evan Bros Yamaha) had some tough times in the rain after moving forward and back, with sixth his final result. In the second race, teenager Can Oncu (Kawasaki Puccetti equally compelling. Virtually nobody, even some of his rivals, begrudged Raf- faele De Rosa (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Kawasaki) his first race win at the 89th attempt in WorldSSP racing. The 2017 Superstock 1000 champion had not scored a win in any of his 15 previous visits to the WorldSSP podium, but his brave and often front-running approach, despite the changing conditions, deliv- ered him a first win that meant so much after so many near misses. Dominique Aegerter (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) very nearly took it from him as he closed in at pace as the track dried out was really surprised. It just took me a long time to find where the limit was, more or less. I prefer it in the dry, though. In the dry it's so nice and has a lot of grip and really good flow and it's less scary.
