Garrett Gerloff finished as the top
Independent rider with 11th- and sixth-
place finishes in Indonesia.
"I've learned a lot what not to do
(in races)," Gerloff laughed. Just try
to keep my nose clean, and if I can
keep my nose clean, it's more simple.
"I wish we would have had some
dry races. That would have been
nice. But then to have the conditions
change two days in a row, and also
before the first race today, a little bit
frustrating. But I'm happy to have the
season over. I need to improve my
first couple laps of the race, for sure.
Just consistency and to be quick off
the start.
"The track in the wet was amaz-
ing, honestly. I had so much grip. I
Bautista's (19) final rides with Honda
netted seventh- and 10th-places
finishes. Chaz Davies (7) signed off
his career with eighth and 12th.
Alvaro Bautista sported a 'do Van
Halen would be proud of.
