Miller's race was a yoyo-ing
one as the Australian drifted back
as far as sixth while trying to
conserve his tires for a late final
push. With Suzuki's Alex Rins
crashing out while lying second,
Miller engaged in a tense battle
with the second Suzuki of Joan
Mir, eventually leaving the Span-
iard for third and closing to within
0.3 seconds of Martin at the flag.
The result was a 1-2-3 for Ducati,
the first in the company's history.
Mir came home fourth ahead
of 2021 champion Fabio Quar-
tararo (Monster Energy Yamaha),
the Frenchman having a some-
what lonely race in fifth ahead of
the second Pramac Ducati rider
of Johann Zarco.
Brad Binder was the first KTM
rider home in seventh ahead of

Today's success was incredible, and now

we have improved the bike's setup race
a er race, and at the end of 2021, the
Desmosedici GP has become very strong,
as well as its riders. We have a very good
base for next year, and I hope to start as
we finish."
