Rossi Vs. Biaggi
Rossi's first bitter rival was fellow
countryman Max Biaggi. Their rivalry
started long before they ever raced
each other, with constant touting in the
Italian press between the established
star Biaggi and the cocky up-and-comer,
Rossi. In the end, Rossi would deny
Biaggi at every opportunity the crown
he wanted most, the 500cc/MotoGP
title, and Biaggi would venture off to win
two WorldSBK titles.
