Interestingly, the JGRMX rider has been practicing his starts with Ryan Villopoto at Villopoto's place in Florida. "I was fortunate to spend some time riding with Ryan the last few weeks and we've been working on starts, which I think paid off today," said Grant. "I busted my butt practicing starts and it paid off." Like a lot of other riders who are starting to find their midseason form, Ken Roczen says he is starting to feel comfortable with the progress with setup that his Red Bull KTM team has found. "Last week I felt like we made some advances on the bike and I think those paid off this weekend," said Roczen. "The track here was super bumpy and really rutted and I was able to keep it straight and the bike didn't kick me any, so I think we're on the right track." pace with Dungey, but he ended up having an issue with his bike and I ended up getting second. "The fans here are very vocal and they were great," said Roczen. "Last year they were on my side, but this year I heard some booing. I'm getting better and I think for some Americans it's hard to pull for a foreigner, and I totally accept that. But I love how the fans are here, they cheer me on too and I love racing in front of them." This was Adam Cianciarulo very first trip to the Michigan venue.
