P22 IN THE WIND REDDING GOES BACK IN TIME M Davi Millsaps was up and about at the RedBud National Motocross in Michigan. WALKING WOUNDED I t was good to see Davi Millsaps back at the track again. After his spectacular performance in the 2013 AMA Supercross Series, the Rockstar Energy team rider has been off the radar, but he showed up at the RedBud National Motocross in Michigan, July 6, as a spectator. Millsaps recently underwent major surgery to repair his knee and femur, which had taken years of abuse and were in dire need of fixing. Millsaps, who finished second in the 2013 Supercross Championship, sacrificed the outdoor series to have the operation performed as soon as possible so he can focus on the 2014 Supercross Championship. "I got released to walk on Monday and I'll be back for Supercross," said Millsaps. "I will start cycling in two weeks and I can get back on a bike in four, so I'm looking forward to that. "Everything is healed and everything is good," he added. "They had to pretty much go in and cut my femur and open it up, and they cleaned it out. They also fixed some things in my knee, so everything should be good to go now." Shan Moore oto2 World Championship leader Scott Redding rode the Suzuki RGV500 that Kevin Schwantz rode to the 1994 500cc World Championship on Sunday during the annual Bikers Classic event at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, the Brit joining the likes of Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read, Wayne Gardner and Christian Sarron on the track. "Lining up on the grid with all these champions around me, it felt like I was actually taking part in a 500 GP race," Redding said. "Sat there on the bike in front of a huge crowd, surrounded by the likes of Wayne Gardner, Christian Sarron and Didier de Radigues, I got a real good feeling for what it must have been like for Kevin Schwantz when he lined up to race this bike back in '94. It was an incredible experience."
