Rod Smith , Larry Wosick and crew have been making the 250cc Pro event like watching a National. Both riders have been going at it tooth and nail, as if with a vengeance and the wi nners are the fans who get to see some trick riding on this small, stadium style track. Smith continues his dominance with another pair of wins over Wosick, but it was close . - Wosick appeared to have gated well in the second round, but it was Sm ith around the corner first and holding his own wi th Shawn Cady crashing and Shawn McConn going off the .track. Cady remounted, but eventually pulled off with McConn, who was having other troubles. Smith continued his hard but smooth style , as he always does, and led the entire distance. Wosick pressured early, but found no worth wh ile way around and settled in for second during th e last two laps. Doug McRae held on for a thi rd overa ll with a 4-5 count, still leading in the class point lead for CMC, by a bunch. Wosi ck 's CR 480R was up to th e task in th e Open Pro, despite a good chase on th e first two laps by Concord Yamaha 's J erry Brandt and East Bay Yamaha 's Troy DeHerrera. Wosick had the holeshot, but had both YZ riders on his tail for two laps, until the two stopped and talked over a mudholecrossing; Wosickjust walked off with the double win . DeHerrera rem ounted for the second overa ll (32), with Wayne Archer (4-3) holding third place money over Brand t and Matt Arena. Results OT: 1. Ric h Kokke (Hon); 2. Pat Doyle (M ai); 3 .
