Wh en th e moto drew to an end, Fitzgerald led the way , foll o wed by Watson and MacFarlane. When the machines blasted off th e line for their fin al enco u n ter, Pa rr y led th e charge, back in top form afte r a disa ppointing first ro und. This year the series is being sponsored by Maico/Crossli ne along with about 40 other co ntributing sponsors, including Bosch, Track ' N Travel, Duralube, Russ Darnell MX Schools, BG Oils, ATrak, Maxima and M IC Tire Works. Thanks to a ll o f them. In the 125cc P ro class, as the gate dropped for the first round, R uss Wa geman j u m ped int o the lead with Yamaha-mounted J im Simons in second and BG H onda -spo nsored Bob Kline holding do wn th e third- p lace spot. Kline was a ble to put the pass on Sim ons to ta ke over the seco nd place sp ot an d pu t p ressure on Wagem a n , bu t th ere was no stop p ing Wa geman as he took the checkers and the fir st rnoto win. Ro u nd two saw Kline jump to the early lead wi th Wageman righ t o n his rear tire. These two ba ttled it out the entire race, bu t just before the checkered fla g they crashed. With the lead they had on the rest of the p ack, Wageman was able to get back o n the bike to take the win and the ove ra ll for the night with Simons taking hom e second and third going to Honda support rider Steve Schmitz.• Results . 125 PRO: 1.
