Again it was Lewis wh o took off wi th a no th er lead in rn oto two and wa s reall y going good until h e crashed . That ga ve the lead to Den n is Ro sen berg wh o knew wh a t to do with it and brough t it in for a first. Even after crash ing, Marvin Olson stiII managed to come in seco nd , good for the overaII win. . Old Timers President Dick Fra mpto n reaIIy put in a good show, wrappi n g up both motos with a I -I to take fir st overaII in the Junior Masters. George Spearing took secon d in rnoto . one and Buzz Moe ller got seco nd in the second moto. Expert Bob Beasley (Yam ) also tu rn ed in a I-I for first overa ll. Don Merr itt gassed his H usky in to second p lace in the first moto and Bob De Miranda finished in third p lace. Mo to two saw De Mira nda move u p to second with Asker Larnkjaer th ird. Vander W al CH U L A VISTA, CA, J ULY 21 Sco tt Burnworth topped b o th th e 250 and 500cc Pro classes gi vi n g Yamaha two win s to n i gh t at the Conti n ental M o tosport Club's Speedway 117 mo tocross. In the 500cc class, Bu rn worth was an easy winner over Kirk Grissom (H on ), bu t he had a little more com petition in the 250cc class. Burnwort h did score a perfect I- I, but had Bryan Maloney on hi s tail all the way . T erry Murray won the overa ll in th e 125ccP ro class. taking his Suzuki to a 1-2 finish to Mit ch Palmer's 3-1 fin ish . The 125cc Junior class saw pl enty of action as Stu Fieh ler (Ka w ) walked a way from the field in both motos , Ronnie Yonekura edged J eff H ea ley a nd Bill Wiggins for seco nd . Yoneku ra got a 5-2, Heal ey (H on ) went 2-6 with Wiggins (Yam ) scoring 3-7. Jim Fox took hi s Honda to a 1-2 fin ish for th e overaII win in th e 250cc Junior clas s with J eff Sylvester (Suz) second and Robert Casas (Ya m ) third.
