The 1982 Vetter Economy Run will see its green flag drop on Saturday, July 10 at San Luis Obispo, CA, with entrants trying to make it 134 miles to Monterey on the least amount of gasoline. The unofficial goal of the event is to hit 200 mpg, with last year's winning mark in the run being 198 mpg. There will be Industry and Private divisions, the former of which will probably see a lot of trick streamliners.
