ROUND 9 / SEPTEMBER 17-19, 2021 BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK / BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA P76 ROAD RACE I FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP MYOWNRACE 45 CAMERON PETERSEN 1-4-5 SUPERBIKE I came into Barber with a li le bit of confi- dence, and I think that has kind of shaped my weekend so far," Petersen said a er race one. "Honestly, I don't really know what to say. That cool down lap, I was so emo onal. My family sacrificed everything for me to get to this point. To finally get a Superbike win, it feels like it has paid off, especially riding against world-class riders like this. This place is no joke. I couldn't be happier. But, honestly, that was probably the craziest race I've ever been involved in." 93 GABRIEL DA SILVA 14-1 SUPERSPORT "I knew the race was going to be good for us because the rain is an equalizer," Da Silva said. "I had good pace here in the rain and the wet. I knew it was a long race, so I was trying to take it a li le easy. Even- tually caught up to Sean, and I was able to make the move. I knew he was going to try something in the last few laps, so I was trying to be smart about it. We were spinning out and hydroplaning. But it was definitely a lot of fun. I knew I could do it, but it was something else to actually do it and put it on the box. Really happy and really grateful to be here." Scholtz would have his revenge by taking the win in race two. Normal service resumed with Jake Gagne taking out race three.
