T hese races have become almost classics fo r Beginner-Novice types. It's probably th e fine st p lace in So uthe rn Ca lifornia to go pie -plating it. T he re always seem s t o be so meone slower aro und than you, an d an h our o n the course gives l o ts of time for de vel opmen t of good bench raci ng. Of course , th e re are also an expec te d n u mber o f pic kers o ut for some b ig brass. T he SRA does t heir best to pick th em , b u t h andling an en try th at runs into fo u r figu res keeps the m p retty b usy '. Still , t here's a trophy in th e offing for anyone wh o can get his b ike up th e hill t o th e fin ish lin e at th e end of an h our. I t probab ly save d some in experienced ski n, but th e ad d it ion of th e very fast sweeper a t the So uth en d of the course kep t th rottles to the sto ps for q ui te a long tim e .
