In California, the new MORE State Club is already opening branch offices to serve th e major population cen ters. Ea ch of these branch offices will have at least on e full -time sta ff member whose sole responsibility will be to represen t mo torcy clists' interests before local go vern men ts , including the BLM, th e US Forest Se rvice , and various departmen ts of State go vern men t. Some of th ose positions are m annett a t th is tim e but California's full comple men t ma y not be com ple te until abo ut June. Jim Moffat (CZ) ca me second, a fter fighting h ard to beat Sorensen. Sorensen sp un out in the third lap; Moffat then took the lead and k ep t it un til the last lap, whe n Sorensen finall y ma naged to overcome him at the finish .
