Team ing with the Coach, Rolf Tibblin , they rode to take a big 1st Place in the 6th Annual Del Webb Desert Rallye (formerly the Mint 400). They completed the physically demanding course in an amazing 8 hrs., 9 min. and .03 sec., and were 12 minutes ahead of the second place finishers when they took the checkered flag . The Mint has been a race of endurance for both men and machinery since its found ing in 1968, and Husqvarna has proven the capability of its mach inery in winning the race four times-the lastlhree consecutively. In establishing the Husqvarna International Tra ining Center, Coach Tibblin plans to develop riders of equal qua lity and stamina. With Mitch it looks l ike . he's on the right track. So on with the cap and gown (helmet and leathers). It's Graduation Day! We can hardly wait to watch Mr. Mayes and his Husky when they do their post graduate work. (His graduate work began the following weekend when we won the Little Bear G.P. at Riverside over 600 entrants.) • Write for your application blan k and brochure on the new Husqvarna International Train ing Center. Students must be over 16 years of age to be eligible for enr ollment. \ I --'- -----------------------
