Secret ACA Road Race at Carlsbad

CARLSBAD, CAL., May 13; 1973
They called it a " secre t road race." That
was how th e ACA explained the
exceedingly light turnout here today.
Very few riders - and races found very
little competition. Lee Fleming (H a n )
and Jim Berry (Yam ) took the overall
wins in the heavyweight production and
GP classes respectively . Ken Gill (Suz )
and Bob Hartley (Y am ) were the
lightweight winners.
Hopefully, the ACA will get is act
together for the Willow Springs race on
the 27th . In the meantime, there is an
AFM ra ce at Riverside on the 20th.
