The ACA is having an insu ra nce problem that has caused it to cancel serveral of their races this year and looks shakey. There is room for mo re t ha n just the AFM/AMA, and the obviou s new orga nizat ion on asp halt is the CMC. They have certain dates at Orange County and are eye ing Ontario, Riverside , and Willow Springs (hot dog !). So you road racers can begi n to price CMC licenses. Maybe they'll even have some pro eve nts. The low-bar guys certa inly need a b ig, solid organization to promote ro ad racing . Many of them are getting t ired of working all week on the ir bikes, d riving all night, and then f indi ng that the race has been cancelled.
