As a result, IFOA president. Bill R obinson has offe re d F our Club su p port to th e Sierra Club in any efforts invoking th e prote cti on o f Americ a's b ack co un t ry . The 1FOA's 7000 m ember su p port of th e Sierra Club co uld be importan t to environmentalists. This is because th e m otorcycle lobby co uld n o longer claim unanimous motorcycl e: o w n er support wh en o p p os ing legisl at ion su p por te d h y th e Si erra Club. Robinson further stated that "because of o u r con fi de nce in th e Sierra Club, we will probably su p por t a ll th ei r effo r ts without qualifi cat ion. We will be avai lab le for con su lta tio n o n m otorc ycl es if any quest ions h appen to involve road ridin g. Robinson has previously made anti-dirt bike st at ements as h ead of th e California road bi ke corpo ra tio n .
