Alth ough it displaces only 89cc, it was built by the same peopl e who built the world's fastest motor cycle, That means it's a high perform er, with a top speed near 70 mph and an ease of handli ng usually assoc iated only with the biggest road bikes. Quick, Tough Dirt Bikes Biggest of the off-road line is the Kawasaki F-9 350. It develops 28 hor ses at 6500 rpm and has hit a top speed of 84 mph . It featur es Halla fo rks , five-way adjustable shocks, and weighs in at just 279 pound s. Production 250 Cousin to the 250cc bike raced by Team Kawasak i is the Fll 250. The F11 is a light (264 Ibs.) rugged bike specia lly designed for off-road racing. The F11 's superstrong gearbox and improved linkage takes the worry out of co mpetitio n downs hifting. The slim design of the engine means less chance of damage when the goi ng gets rough. Popular F7 One of Kawasaki' s most popula r mode ls is the F-7 175 enduro. Like all Kawasaki s, it's light and fast (up to 75 mph on the open highway). It has Hall a forks and ad justab le rea r shocks - makin g it pe rso nally adaptable to your style. A Speedy 125 The Kawasaki F-6 125 looks like the 175 and performs as well as most bigger enduros. It's a speedy lilli e Art Baumann's choice is the H-l 500 (he helped develop the racing version). And John DeSoto picks the popular Kawasaki G-5 100 a rugged, last, dirt bike. These bikes - and the rest of the Kawasaki line - are machin e with plenty of 'p ulling power in the dirt it can hold its own on the roadway. yet Beginner Bikes Maintain Appeal Kawasaki offers two versions of a 1OOcc - the G-5 100- a great beginn er' s bike-and the G-4, a might y lillie dirt bike. The G-5 weighs in at just 195 Ibs., making it very easy to handle. It' s great for learners, and has the hustle to keep thin gs interesting for the advanced ride r. The G-5 has the double -loop frame of a full sized motocross bike and adj ustable rear shoc ks. It's a beautiful lillie performer for week-e nd trailing or weekday transportation. The Kawasaki G- 4 100 is purely and simply a dirt bike (though it is street legal). It features five speeds eac h in the high and low ranges. It will go almost anywhere on its knobby tires and large sized (2\12 ga llons) fuel tank. The Big Bike In A Little Body For maxi-fu n, there's the Kawasaki mini-trail MT1a big motorcycl e in a littl e body. This speedy lilli e trail bike can climb at 39 degrees .
