Last year th e Cali co drew 2, 200 rid e rs and about that man y this year makes th e Calico the lar gest en d u ro ' in th e co un t ry in tw o years running. The SRA laid o u t tw o lo ops of a bou t 40 mil es a nd 25 mil es. Women and min is rode the fi rst loop and had an op tion fo r th e second. The first loop was inte res ting fo r most. (A nd it mi gh t h ave b een a little ro ugh fo r a fe w .) Th e terrain in cluded a co uple of d o wnhills, k1l!N'llLk1 _ some ro ck garde ns (Whic h gave a few people ,fi ts and me big eyes.), and a ft e r the first 100 -rru m b ers there were lots o f wh o op-de-d o o s. Some rid e rs had so me tro u ble but th er e w asn ' t anything unrideable, Due to all th e rain , th e d esert was gree n with fr esh grass and the wildflower s were bl o oming. Read n ice.
