The beginning of the 1973 AMA Racing schedule
started off just as it did last year: with Yamaha team
rider Kenny Roberts striking gold at the Yamaha
Gold Cup Race at the Houston Astrodome.
Roberts piloted his flat track racing version of the
new Yamaha MX360 to the first repeat win ever
by a professional rider in this Annual AMA
National Short Track Championship race.
