The- largest crowd in the history of the
Houston Short Track · watched a STOCK
R250MX become the fastest 250 at the
Astrodome. It took the competition 110
. more C.C.'s to go faster.
Of the one · hundred and twenty-six
lightweight riders who Iappeared only two
were riding Rickmans and both qualified with
ease.
The little 250 showed the larger machines
that it is a no-nonsense competitor by being
the fastest 250, by winning the only heat race
in which it was entered, and by becoming the
only 250 to make it to the honored Winner's
Circle.
