Meanwh ile, back in the p ack , Bryan Bre ke r (CZ), Rick Bean (Yam), Ge ne Martin (Ma i}, and Darrell S u therland (Mai) we re b at tling for posi tions. Bre ker took the second overall wi th Ric k Bean finish ing th ird. Bryan the n we n t on to dice it o ut wit h th e 250 Experts o n one of his fastest rides in some time . He a nd two very co mpe titive fellas ( Randy Mye rs and h is super-q uick Bul tu ned b y Competition Products and Ray T opha m on his trick Compe tit io n Cycle C Z) all ran awa y from the pac k an d w ound u p slapping gas tanks. M oto o ne h ad Mye rs wi th th e lead , fo llowed by Top h am , then Bre kc r fro m sta rt t o finish . The 125 Ex perts had their us ual go-aro u nd with Bru ce McDougal pulling first ove ra ll ah ead of Ma rk Tyer (both o n Pen to ns) an d Bob Maxwe ll fin ishing thi rd on h is Bul. Li ttl e J ohnny Gl ess (Hon) of Oran ge picked up back-to-back wins this wee kend as he WOn th e Min i class , bo th Friday ni gh t and Satu rday m orn in g. Speakin g of Saturdays, for th e firs t ti m e th e "Very Virile Ve ts" we re o ut havin g a blas t wi th Glenn Willis (S u z) ta king first overall bra ss, DeWayn e Stark (S uz) seco nd, an d J o!' Had Bryan h eld th e lead on th at fin al m oto, it would have b een a three way tie fo r fi rst, but th at 's racing, and Mye rs took th e we ll d eserved win , T o ph am, second, an d Bre ke r thi rd overal l. Mo unted on Pen to n ' s C hu ck Bower and Mark Tyer , alo ng wi th T im Lunde on his Bul had their o wn wi re-t o-wire duel in the 125 Expert, and Bowe r took the win with th ree firsts , ove r Lunde an d Tyer. Charles Currie (Bul) showed no mercy over the fie ld of 125 Juniors, Division II, as he d id everythi ng bu t lap them, includi ng brothe r J o h n (Pen ) who finished se co nd and Pat Kell e y third overal l. T heir little b rother, Ra y C urri e ( Ho n), also took second l\lini beh ind Bra d Du t oit (Hon ) and ah ea d of Lindle y Kistl er (In d) .
