Pier ce was hustl ing, but Ro mero was con siste n tly b uilding a ma rgin of nearly tw o seconds per lap. Even by him self Calvin is fun to watch. Rome ro, and Carruthers ; b ut Kel drop ped out wit h a cracked man ifold . One lap later Mark Brelsford (II-D) moved up to take h is p lace in line . Fisher held in second for seve ra l laps wh en Pier ce p itted and go t back o ut in six th spo t. Fisher pi tted two laps la ter and Brelsfo rd w as in second p lace, about 3 6 seco nds behind Rayborn. Yvon DuIlamel h ad n ow moved up in to fifth, fixing to smoke Pier ce and Sm art. That he did in sh ort o rd er , and was by Romero in to third pl ace o n lap 4 2. On the ne xt lap Brelsford coasted o u t with a bad thro ttle an d DuHamel w as second and m oving very , very fas t. Fishe r h ad co m e o u t of the pits in fourth p osition, which he he ld for h al f a dozen laps until Gary Scott (Ya m) got by . Neither could contest Romero for Howard Lyngaard 171 and Jeff March battled for th e Junio r win down to th e last lap. Then, inde p ende ntly, t he y both crashed . So . . . e, ,... N Ol ,...'
