The May 6 -7 weekend at Snake River Canyon, Idaho, turned out to be one of the largest Motocross events in history. Over 700 riders entered. Fifty separate moto heats were run. For a record purse of $25,000! When the finals were over,it was a sweep of the top two classes for Goodyear's new Eagle MX tire. Jim Weinert and Gary Jones riding on Yahamas took 1st and 2nd · in the 250cc class. Jones took 1st in the Open. Goodyear's Eagle MX tire has scored some mighty impressive wins in its first season of racing. The double at Snake River is the latest. We build this tire to win. With 4 plies of nylon cord in the specially designed body. Cord toughened by Goodyear's uniqueTripleTempering process. We use a super-tough rubber compound that has exceptional tear resistance - to keep a biting edge on the lugs. And we wrap those deep, rugged "Moto-Grip" lugs well around the tire's shoulder so it holds on the tightest turns. ... . The lugs clean out fast because of . their special contours and spacing. Your Goodyear Motorcycle Tire Dealer has the Eagle MX in both 400-18 and 450-18 sizes. See him soon and start riding America's newwmner. (Dealers: contact your Goodyear Motorcycle Tire Distributor about the new Eagle MX.)
