The ride rs provid ing th e actio n fo r the regular Saturday nigh t even t gave th em th eir m oney's worth , and th en so me . There were many more en tries than were expected. T he G rand Pri x riders ex changed pl aces with the d ay 's spectators as the e xcitrne n t got underway. Eigh teen Mini Cy cles raced in heats w ith little David O ller (Han) goi ng wire to wir e in his first heat d irec tly t o t he Main event. Doug Nico l (Ya m) rid ing very well pl aced second. The girl s were also giving lessons as th e Powder Puff go t u nde rway. Debbie J ones (Bul) racin g with a h andicapped start came up wi th the win ov er Teri T anner (Y am) wh o finish ed second . Holcomb trucked o ut a tre mendous pace at the fron t-en d . during which he set a new track record of I :40, before fina lly tiring and su ccu mbin g to the Clements' charge. Bryar, h owever . was secon d overall in the scoring wh ile Robe rtson and Pay ne finis hed third a nd fo urth . After a black-flag beginning in the first for the 125 Pros. Ke n Zah rt (Bul). Kenny Cook ( Bul) .
