It may b e a lon g tim e before an yone ta kes on th e n ew one. It's pretty h ard to best a guy who's bi ke never touches th e groun d. Condolences to Mark R eichert an d Don Fr auenberger, wh o ran second and third and add a tear or two for Jamey Blunt wh o came off the line in a tight squee ze with Doug and lo st six sp o ke s ou t of h is brand new e xpensive Os sa. Jamey fared mu ch b etter in the 175.200 cla ss winning all three afte r a handicap , sel f-imposed . J erry big Re ynolds was second an d Bill Bees on third. Walt Foster is ano ther o n e wh o pulled all th e st ops in th e Amateur/ Exp ert moto. Walt tied the old reco rd of 3 8. 5 but h ad to push it in the third rno to to catch second place V ince Graves. Paul Lamb ert had enough fo r th ird. Wes McG ee , lo ng overdue, made it to the winner's circle in the Novice Mo ta II. The Iigh ting will be getting even better as more Iigh 18 have been purchased and will b e installed sh ortly. Baron got back in the groove in the 125 Intermed iate/Expert division by taking all th ree mo tos from his usual competition, Dave Carlson. Mike Pau lsel1 rode wel1 but he was some distance behind the pair and the last heat was showboat time fo r Baron and Carlson as they performed wheelies half way ar ound the co urse . The Schoolboy class was won by Mark Shader of O range . . A Powder Puff division was co n test ed for th e fi rst ti me this season and J oh an na Stenerson rode her new DKW to wins in all h eats ove r Marcia Hol1ey. Ty Scott turned in his best . performance of the new season as he captured division two of the 125's. Some of the best racing of the nig ht took place in division two of the 250's between Ernie Floyd and Bob Perlof. Bob won heat one as Ernie had problems but the next two were both photo finishes with Floyd winning by a bike's length . Perlof was overall winner. The Expert field was up nearly double over last weekend and reports hav e Chuck Bower coming b ack .10 El Toro for next week's card . Bruce McDougal thought he might b e back in action soon, but a trip to the doctor revealed that it might be sometime before he is in riding togs.
