A special Junior course will be laid out for rid ers aged 14 years and under, and a kid 's b icy cle tri als course w ill b e open to ten-year olds and und er. T ro p hies will b e award ed in all classes. T he entry fee for th is eve n t is $3.00. Mufflers and sp ar k arresters are required. Helmets are required fo r all riders at Carnegie Park, but this rule will be susp ended for riders while actuall y co m pet ing . Spect ators will be admitted free. Entries w ill be accepted fro m 8 to 10 a.rn. t he day of the eve nt. No m ail entries are so licite d . T hen t hcy fo und a se t o f tracks o f a man wa lking and th o ugh t they h ad him , then the tracks were join ed b y a seco nd set , o nly sma ller lo o kin g as if the wa lke r had a boy o r wo ma n with h im. End of th e line. It wouldn't b e him. Meantime everyo ne else was w o rkin g in a co n tr o lled fan pattern using th e j ee ps and th e b ike s in uniso n with th e b ik es usin g th e buddy sys tem so no o ne wa s o ut on hi s o wn . Just about when everyone was returning to the p its for lack of ligh t and giving up hope, t he radio buzzed and a farmho use said , " He's here. We 've got him. " All th e fanners ha d been no t ified b y the Sheriff t ha t th ere was a lost ma n out th ere and he migh t show up attracted to t h eir ligh ts. Phil was and walk ed up to a farm hou se. It was figured that Nyland had walked ov er t wenty miles co unting th e double back whe n he took his boots off. At one point he was less than two miles from civi lizatio n b ut too k another tr ai l lea d ing furt h er in to th e b oonies, One night h e fou nd an abandoned cabin and wa ter and th at , p lus a hazy sky, kept h im alive .
