Tall T erry looks a bit odd on that short 125 Italian Harley but h e knows how to keep a bike trained. The course was for the mo st p art t he same as used a last week 's Hangtown, except that it was run backwards. T he mudhole p roved to be the d ifference between a w in ' a nd DNF at the Sportsman's race yesterday. T he co mmon sightwas a b rand new Sl500 machine being degpaddled through th e goo when liberal application of th e t hrottle and a y an k on th e bars would have done wonders. Eve l, of course. was on hand with three jumps Saturday and another over the rattlesnakes today. Unfortunately, organized animal pals p ress ured Eve! into leaving the mountain lions out of it after the famed showman joked on the telly that he was going t o shoot them after he jumped them. Bad timing. Evel's b roken collarbone was hurting h im and he was edgy all weekend. Of co urse, the large crowd loved the show despite several d run ken hecklers.
