R ob also led the entire las t m ota except when h is chain came off in the last lap and Charles Maybry took the win. By far the most exciting race of the day was the Open Senior. The first mota had Dennis Smith in the lead for the first four laps until Joe Yeager took .over for one lap and then Rich Kohout got the last two for the checker, with Joe in second and Dennis taking third. Haws that for the first mota? The second race had to be restarted because someone got caught in the rubber band when jumping the stan. Half of the bikes were behind the b and and the rest took off. The restart had Dennis in the lead again, which he kept for three lap s. T hen Joe led the pack fo r the last four and the flag, leavi ng second place for Rich Ko h ou t. In the t hir d mota Keit h Cobb led the first two lap s, and h e was not even entered in the Op en class. T he real leader was Mike Krebs who co ntinued to lead to the finish , fo llowed by Rick and J o e. Not only d id the Open Senior even t have the most exciting motos of the day, but it also had the most interesting collision of the day between Jerry Cobb and the rear wheel of a Suzuki . The wheel sucked Jerry's leg up alm ost to the knee an d would not let it go. T h e rear shock had to b e removed befor e the Suzuki would let go. Jerry suffered a very painful sprained leg and cut cheek . The last race was over about 6 : 15 an d the results were out by 6:40, so if you want to motocross, but -d on ' t want to wait all night, don't forget the Wheelspon Motocross at the Baldwin Motocross Par k the fourth Su nday o f every month .
